Hi, loves! I hope you are having a wonderful week. Mine has been going pretty well but it recently just got so much better because the lovely Erin from Rin’s Reads tagged me in the Sunshine Blogger Award! Erin is so kind and her posts are my favorite to read, so be sure to give her blog some love ♡
The Sunshine Blogger award is given by bloggers to bloggers who inspire positivity and creativity in the blogging community. I have only been blogging for a few weeks so this truly means the world to me!
What are the rules?
- Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
- Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
1 | What’s the most rewarding part of blogging?
Definitely being able to gush about a book with someone else or even finding out that a fellow blogger read a book I recommended and enjoyed it! Blogging overall is such a rewarding experience I could go on forever. 💖
2 | When did you start reading (childhood, teenage years, or adulthood)?
I started reading random books from the library (such as The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Because of Winn-Dixie, + The Clique) when I was in elementary school, but it wasn’t until seventh grade when I read Divergent and fell absolutely in love with Young Adult literature! It’s been the same ever since.
3 | Who’s your ride-or-die character?
Oh gosh, this one is so tough. I think I have to go with Katy from the LUX series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I always related with her so much (and not just because she has a book blog)! She is stubborn and headstrong, but also extremely caring and someone you can count on. Basically, I wish she was my bff. 😊
4 | If you could only read one author for the rest of your life, who would it be?
I think I would have to go with Jenn Bennett. Her contemporaries make me so so happy and like I’m falling in love over and over again; I wouldn’t trade in that feeling for the world.
5 | What’s your favorite post to write?
I’ve just started participating in the Let’s Talk Bookish meme and I’ve really enjoyed it! I have found that discussion posts are pretty fun to write because you truly get to learn a lot about someone and even bond over various bookish opinions. I also love hearing what other bloggers have to say about the book world considering there is so much to discuss!
6 | Physical book, e-book or audiobook?
Physical books all the way! There’s nothing like holding a huge hardcover in your hands and feeling so accomplished when closing it up once you’re finished.
7 | Do you have a favorite reading snack or drink?
I love iced chai lattes! They are so easy to make for those like me who aren’t so talented in the kitchen. It’s literally just ice, milk, and some chai blend… and boom! Starbucks at home in two minutes. (Plus if you put it in a mason jar, it’s so pretty to take pictures of 🥰)
8 | What are the top three books that encompass you as a person?
I would probably go with Cress by Marissa Meyer (Cress and I are the same person, I swear), Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (I am part stubborn, part huge romantic), and Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett (I have not stopped gushing about this novel to this day and it honestly kick-started my love for movies as well — especially hollywood classics).
9 | What are your hobbies outside of reading?
I love watching movies with my friends, restaurant hopping with my boyfriend in our college town, and tending to my houseplants! I also look at Facebook Marketplace religiously for any good book deals or random goodies to buy (I have a slight addiction… is being a slight shopaholic considered a hobby?).
10 | What’s your favorite time of day to read?
I love reading in the evening. I don’t get to do it too often since that’s the time when my friends and I are all hanging out, but when I can I love reading with the sunset peeking through my blinds. ✨
11 | Lastly, have you ever thought about writing your own book?
In high school I tried to write a few contemporary stories but nothing really stuck with me. Plus, writing is hard! I am totally content with sitting back and reading other peoples’ amazing stories.
I am going to tag:
& you! All of you reading this are full of sunshine so feel free to participate in this tag and answer the questions below. Also be sure to tag me as well so that I can read your lovely answers! (✿◡‿◡)
