Can’t-Wait Wednesday: Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Happy Wednesday! As the Holidays are approaching, today my siblings and I are going to venture out into this chilly December day and do some last minute gift shopping. Going out with my siblings is never a dull time, so hopefully we can pull it together for an hour to get reasonable gifts for our parents! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Today I will be participating in Canโ€™t-Wait Wednesday, a weekly meme to share an upcoming anticipated release that you’re excited about. The blog meme was based on Breaking the Spine‘s Waiting on Wednesday, and is hosted byย Wishful Endings!

This week I will be featuringโ€ฆ

Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Release: January 11, 2022

Publisher: Berkley

Genres: Adult, Romance, Contemporary

Synopsis via GoodreadsAri Abrams has always been fascinated by the weather, and she loves almost everything about her job as a TV meteorologist. Her boss, legendary Seattle weatherwoman Torrance Hale, is too distracted by her tempestuous relationship with her ex-husband, the stationโ€™s news director, to give Ari the mentorship she wants. Ari, who runs on sunshine and optimism, is at her witsโ€™ end. The only person who seems to understand how she feels is sweet but reserved sports reporter Russell Barringer.

In the aftermath of a disastrous holiday party, Ari and Russell decide to team up to solve their bossesโ€™ relationship issues. Between secret gifts and double dates, they start nudging their bosses back together. But their well-meaning meddling backfires when the real chemistry builds between Ari and Russell.

Working closely with Russell means allowing him to get to know parts of herself that Ari keeps hidden from everyone. Will he be able to embrace her dark clouds as well as her clear skies?

Berkley has been churning out some incredible romances this year and, as I’ve basically been only reading that genre for the past 12 months, I am definitely their target audience! Weather Girl sounds absolutely adorable and looks to have many of the tropes I thoroughly enjoy (office romance, friends-to-lovers, AND i’ve heard it’s also single parent!). Let’s be real, there’s also something about this beyond pretty cover that says “if i don’t like this book i’m going to be extremely upset” so fingers crossed! ๐Ÿ˜Š

That’s all for today’s post, thank you for reading! Have you heard of Weather Girl? If so, do you think this a book youโ€™d enjoy? What are some other releases that you are excited for?
