Back to Blogging | Lessons from this Past Year

Now… you’re probably thinking one of two things: who is this blogger that has magically reappeared onto my feed and why can’t she spell “plenty” right??! Those are two very valid thoughts, and I think it’s best to first start with an introduction.

Hi there! My name is Taylor and welcome to my blog, Planty of Pages. Yes it is a nudge at the lovely houseplants I own… and yes… they are all currently struggling to survive (sadly I was not gifted the precious green thumb that comes with plant parenting πŸ˜“). I haven’t posted on here in almost a year and, as crazy as that sounds, a LOT has been going on.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday: Charming as a Verb by Ben Philippe

Happy Wednesday! I’m celebrating the middle of the week by traveling to a city near me with some of my friends for the day. Since my semester has been shortened due to COVID today is our one day of no classes and I’m going to make the most out of it!

Today I will be participating in Can’t-Wait Wednesday, a weekly meme where you share an upcoming anticipated release. This is hosted by Wishful Endings!

This week I will be featuring…

Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Book Quotes πŸ’¬

Hi friends, happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a fabulous start to your week. Mine has been a little rough with a paper and presentation both coincidentally being due today, but thankfully I knocked them out. On the bright side, tomorrow is my school’s “Fall Break” (basically our one day of no classes to make up for the lack of breaks during this shortened semester)! I will be traveling to a city two hours away with my friends to pick up a very exciting item and go to IKEA. I am very excited to leave campus after two months and to see what shenanigans ensue! πŸ₯³

Today’s post will be dedicated to a fun meme here in the blogworld, Top Ten Tuesday! Every week there is a new, exciting topic to create a bookish list for ranging anywhere from genres to characters, to quotes and more! It is hosted by the lovely That Artsy Reader Girl so be sure to check out her site for more information.

The topic for this Tuesday is β€œFavorite Book Quotesβ€œ. I don’t keep a compiled list of my favorite quotes from years past, but what I do have are memorable ones and those from my reviews. Hopefully you guys enjoy this list nonetheless! πŸ’–

Pumpkin Spice Latte Book Tag β˜•οΈπŸ‚ it’s fall y’all!

Hi friends, the weather has finally cooled down in my area, finally bringing fall into existence! To celebrate, I thought I would participate in the Pumpkin Spice Latte Book Tag. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin spice lattes (I strongly prefer a simple iced/hot chai), but this tag looked too fun to pass up and really gets you in that spooky, autumn mood!

This tag was created by The Book Pusher so be sure to follow the link to her video where you can see her amazing answers! πŸŽƒ

Let’s Talk Bookish | Reading Seasonally

Hi friends, happy Friday! It’s finally the end of the week and now all I want to do is catch up on some sleep and relax. I’m also hoping to catch up on reading as well since I have been so slumped with schoolwork and haven’t been able to finish a book in a while. Fingers crossed that I can find time to do so!

Today I am going to be participating in Let’s Talk Bookish, a weekly meme created and hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books and Dani @ Literary Lion where you chat about topics in the book world!

This week’s theme is on β€œReading Seasonally”. I think that this is a perfect topic to talk about, especially now that Fall is basically here with the wintry holidays on deck! ❄️

Top Ten Tuesday: My Fall ’20 TBR πŸπŸ‚

Hi friends, happy Tuesday and happy Autumn! I looked it up and, according to Google, September 22nd is officially the first day of Fall. I personally am thinking “finally!” because I truly believe this season is the best with all it’s thick sweaters, hot cafe drinks, and crunchy leaves! Plus, the heat is finally dying down in my area and I’ve started to whip out the fuzzy socks, so it truly feels like I am living out a dream right now.

The topic for this Tuesday is “Books On My Fall 2020 TBR“. Sadly, since I am away at college, most of my autumnal-themed books are at home. Instead, I will be reading some books from genres that get me in a more cozy mood such as mysteries, thrillers, and fantasies. I am going to try and knock out some backlisted titles but I may splurge and purchase a few fall looking reads just to get in the spirt of things!
