Merry Christmas, bookworms! Christmas is typically a very laid back day in my family where we literally do nothing but open presents, eat, and sit on the couch watching Holiday-themed romcoms together.
I thought it’d be fun to add to the festive cheer with a book tag created by Erin @ Reading on a Star. It’s called the Baby It’s Cold Outside Book Tag, and even though I haven’t been tagged by anyone specifically, I’ve seen this everywhere lately and thought it looked fun!
So grab yourself a cup of hot chocolate or your favorite tea and let’s get started with these cozy questions! ❄️
Snow Day – What’s your “comfort” book? 🌨️
Alex, Approximately has and always will be one of my favorite books not just because it’s a cute romance, but because I resonate with the main character so much. I love the setting of the book and I love the characters, I could read this book forever and never get sick of it. 💖
Snow Angels – What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it(a little morid, but…)? 👼
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind being buried by the entire Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. These books have gotten me through many tough times in my life, and I always find myself coming back to the story and lovable characters. 🥰
Warm Socks – What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside? (The fluffiest, cutest romance you’ve ever read?) 🔥
I have been absolutely obsessed with It Happened One Summer lately. Tessa Bailey really knows how to write ’em, and I literally cannot stop myself from re-reading this book at least once a month!
Hot Cocoa – What winter-themed novels have you previously read? ☕
I’ve recently read all of the Simple Wild books by K.A. Tucker and loved them! I had read The Simple Wild a little over a year ago, but finally took the leap to read the other two books in the series and am so happy I did. The chilly Alaskan setting was absolutely perfect for this time of year, and the last novella took place during Christmas which made it feel all the more festive! ❤️
Sledding – What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes? 🛷
One of my favorite series that always kept me on my toes was The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. This YA true-crime series is EXTREMELY under-rated in my opinion and I will never stop recommending it to my friends!
Ugly Sweaters – What’s a book with the ugliest cover? 🧥
The LUX series probably has some of the worst covers I know. It’s really unfortunate too because the series is SO GOOD. They did come out with new covers that have silhouettes with calligraphy, but I still feel like it doesn’t do the story justice at all. 🤦
Movie Marathon – What’s the last book you binge read? 🎬
The last book I binge read was Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey. I bought this last week and literally read it in one sitting that same day! The story was so festive and cute (and a little spicyyy 🌶️), and I honestly just had so much fun reading it. 😊
Letter to Santa – What’s a book that’s on your wishlist this year? 🎁
My answer is cheating a bit, because I bought myself the one book that was on my wishlist haha. I didn’t ask for any books for Christmas, so as a little gift to myself I bought A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. I’ve been seeing this everywhere and have been hearing amazing things about it, so I’m excited to pick it up in the new year!
Thank you so much for reading today’s posts! What’s your favorite part of the holidays? Also, what books are on your wishlist? Happy holidays everyone! 💖
Merry Christmas to you as well 🎄 I read The Naturals this year and I had so much fun with it! I only read the first book and I’m excited to get around to checking out the rest of the series 😄 I hope you enjoy A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, it was super suspenseful and fun!
